For a single location, this is very good on its own – no updates. What you see in this graph is strictly from “Organic clicks to the website.” It is also only from the area surrounding the body shop. We don’t measure what doesn’t bring you conversions. People from other states will never be a sale to a body shop.
The spikes are from GeoFencing certain vehicles. The clicks helped it to start ranking. Yes, clicks are a branding/ranking factor and always have been. Which should tell you bringing traffic to your website by marketing is a GOOD thing to do. After that, the shop did very little marketing.
There were many Google algorithm changes, including a dip in Dec 2025 to Google’s removal of the option to view 100 search results per page, permanently limiting the default Search Engine Results Page (SERP) to 10 results. It was an intentional decision by Google to restrict large-scale data scraping and reduce strain on its infrastructure. Every website experienced this. It made rank-checking tools an absolute mess, and even Google’s own Search Console data. This happened to all websites, but this one was much smaller because it had only one location. With MSOs, it looks much worse.
The website came right back without a problem. Now, 5 years later, in July of 2026, we will be changing the website’s outdated look.
